About Maisha

Maisha is a science enthusiast from urban Bangladesh who also loves reading, debating, and listening to music. She is especially interested in human anatomy and hopes to become a doctor someday. When not in school, Maisha stays busy with many clubs and volunteering activities. When not doing one of these things, she is with her friends chatting, joking, or playing.

Maisha describes herself as a “sports lover” and hopes to try as many American sports as possible on her exchange year, especially “the thrill of basketball.” She says being involved in a variety of activities is refreshing and allows her to be exposed to many different types of people.

Maisha hopes to use her strong communication skills to build relationships and adjust to her new surroundings in the U.S. “The thing I am most excited about in my exchange year is to make a strong bond with new people from different backgrounds and perspectives.” Although she is looking forward to learning from others, she also wants to return the favor. “I love to share my culture with other people.” The aspect of her culture she most looks forward to sharing is Bangla music.

Lastly, Maisha would like you to know, “I am eagerly waiting to meet you all and spend time together!”
